Weird disk partitions appeared on my PC

It's either related to 1903 itself or the new Xbox app required for the Xbox Game Pass for PC. I'm not sure which since I installed both at relatively the same time and have been seeing these partitions pop up occasionally since then. They seem to disappear on reboot for me.
According to this article xvdd is some kind of Microsoft gaming file system.
I have this too, and I also have Game Pass PC with several games downloaded.. I suspect each of those virtual drives represents a single game, stored in it's own individual bundle, but I don't like the way it complicates the drive/partition map landscape either.
That's a virtual disk format (there is info on it at MSDN) Anway, they deliver each game as it's own virtual drive. If those are there even if you've deleted those games, then I'd try to contact the xbox team and issue a bug report. They should not leave stuff behind in that case.
Hmm. Never heard of that before. Did you do anything unusual before this happened?
Also, how old is your HDD? If it is old it could be failing.

lol people keep saying "hard drive failure", even after multiple answers of "it's related to Xbox Game Pass".. and "XVDD seems to be a microsoft gaming file system"..
I found this page because my Hardware Info program started showing around 10 new "Drives" named "MSFT XVDD", they have occasional disk usage, though very very small amounts.
