How do I install a previous version of Visual Studio 2019 Community?
I found a bug in the latest version of VS Community (16.7.0) which is preventing my solution from building, so I need to roll back to 16.6.5. However the only download link I can find has downloads for only Enterprise and Professional, not Community. How do I downgrade my installation of VS Community? It’s completely unusable for me now because one of my solutions is failing to build even though there are no compile errors.

While the link shows Professional and Enterprise, I’ve tried it myself and it can install the Community version.
First fully uninstall Visual Studio 2019. Then download the Professional edition of the version you want and run it. In the "available" tab from the installer you’ll find that it can install all 3 editions including Community of both 2017 and 2019, at the choosen version, regardless of the downloaded binary.
Note that this actually downloads the real installers from the web, thus while they work right now, we can’t ensure they’ll work in the future.

Основная масса игр и программ требует установленного Microsoft Visual C++ — без этого пакета приложения просто не запустятся. При этом пользователи будут видеть многочисленные ошибки, так или иначе связанные с MSVC, самая распространённая из которых — runtime library error.
Обычно при установке приложений Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable package устанавливается автоматически, но не исключены и некоторые ошибки, возникающие в процессе инсталляции. В большинстве случаев это связано с использованием контрфактного ПО или с вирусными атаками.
Разновидности пакетов
Существует несколько версий продукта, в том числе и под разные архитектуры. Как и большинство приложений, Microsoft Visual C++ выпускается для систем 32/ 64bit, и рекомендуется использовать полностью совместимый пакет, чтобы исключить возможные ошибки при работе. На ОС х64 может быть установлена как 32-разрядная (x86), так и 64-разрядная (x64) версия, и в большинстве случаев для запуска игр в таких системах требуется наличие обоих пакетов.
Вы можете скачать Microsoft Visual C бесплатно для Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1,10 и исправить ошибки самостоятельно. Программная среда не занимает много места на жёстком диске, и установка нескольких версий в одну ОС практикуется довольно часто. Это объясняется тем, что старые игры и программы могут корректно работать только под старой версией продукта, а новые, наоборот, требуют обновлённых библиотек.
С чего начать установку Visual C++?
- Нужно определить какая у Вас разрядность системы: 32 или 64 bit. Если у Вас 64bit, то ставим обе версии 32/64, если у Вас система 32bit — ставим только 32
- Зайдите через панель управления в «Программы и компоненты» и посмотрите, какие уже установлены версии Visual C++
- На моём компьютере (автора статьи), установлены полностью все версии. Что и способствует запуску игр как новых так и старых без ошибок
- Устанавливайте все отсутствующие версии начиная с самой первой — 2005, и доходите до последней — 2017. (Если вы не знаете от какой версии файлы, но на нашем сайте всё указано в описании для каждого файла.)
- Установка много времени не займет, только так, вы загрузите все библиотеки DLL

Но есть нюанс, установка на компьютер 2019 версии может повлиять на игры или программы написанные на ранее созданных версия 2015 и 2017. А вот если установить отдельно пакет Visual C++ 2015, то он не заменит файлы более поздних версий. Visual C++ версий 2013 и более ранние, не относятся к данному пункту, т.к у них свои собственные файлы не зависимые друг от друга

Install Visual Studio versions side-by-side
You can install Visual Studio on a computer that has an earlier or later version of Visual Studio already installed.
Before you install versions side-by-side, review the following conditions:
If you use Visual Studio 2019 to open a solution that was created in Visual Studio 2017, you can later open and modify the solution again in the earlier version as long as you haven’t implemented any features that are specific to Visual Studio 2019.
If you try to use Visual Studio 2019 to open a solution that was created in Visual Studio 2017 or an earlier version, you might need to modify your projects and files to be compatible with Visual Studio 2019. For more information, see the Port, migrate, and upgrade Visual Studio Projects page.
Before you install versions side-by-side, review the following conditions:
If you use Visual Studio 2022 to open a solution that was created in Visual Studio 2017 or Visual Studio 2019, you can later open and modify the solution again in the earlier version as long as you haven’t implemented any features that are specific to Visual Studio 2022.

If you uninstall a version of Visual Studio on a computer that has more than one version installed, the file associations for Visual Studio are removed for all versions.
Visual Studio doesn’t automatically upgrade extensions because not all extensions are compatible. You must reinstall the extensions from the Visual Studio Marketplace or the software publisher.
Install minor Visual Studio versions side-by-side
When upgrading from one minor version of Visual Studio to the next, the Visual Studio installer will, by default, update your current install to the latest version in that channel. For example, suppose 16.9.4 was just released. The installer will try to replace your current install of 16.9.3 (or lower) with 16.9.4, since both versions are part of the Visual Studio 2019 release channel. Replacing the older release with the newer release during update helps ensure older versions of Visual Studio aren’t taking up room on your machine. However, in some specific cases, it might be helpful to install different minor release versions of Visual Studio side-by-side. For example, you may want to have both 16.9.3 and 16.9.4 on the same machine.
Download the Visual Studio 2019 bootstrapper file from either the Visual Studio downloads page or the Visual Studio 2019 Releases page for the minor version that you would like to install side-by-side with your existing version of Visual Studio.
Open the command prompt in administrator mode. To do this, open the Windows Start menu, type «cmd», right-click on the Command Prompt search result, and select Run as administrator. In the command prompt, change the directory to the folder where your Visual Studio bootstrapper file is located.
Run the following command, specifying a new folder path for the installation location and replacing the .exe file name with the appropriate bootstrapper name for the version of Visual Studio you are installing. The .exe file name should match or be similar to one of the following files:
- vs_enterprise.exe for Visual Studio Enterprise
- vs_professional.exe for Visual Studio Professional
- vs_community.exe for Visual Studio Community
Follow the installer dialogs to select the components you need for your installation. For more information, see Install Visual Studio.

.NET Framework versions and side-by-side installations
Visual Basic, Visual C#, and Visual F# projects use the Target Framework option in the Project Designer to specify the version of the .NET Framework that’ll be used. For a C++ project, you can manually change the target framework by modifying the .vcxproj file. For more information, see the Version compatibility in the .NET Framework page.
When you create a project, you can specify which version of the .NET Framework the project targets in the .NET Framework list in the New Project dialog box.
