B365 ds3h WiFi oemid mismatched
Can anyone help me flash my bios. I have a gigabyte b365 ds3h WiFi and keep trying to update to the f2e bios (most recent) I have tried 3 ways and they all fail. When I try in the actually bios with q-flash it says oemid mismatched
Have different MoBo but I had to edit text of flash.nsh file on USB to match the name of BIOS file.
Instructions to do so were in readable file (efiflash SOP.PDF) amongst the BIOS update files.
Worked well when run Flash BIOS in UEFI. Used specifis USB port on MoBo marked BIOS USB.

I had the exact same issue. Turns out OEMID Mismatch means that the MB was sold by someone else, even though its a legit Gigabyte MB. In other words Gigabyte doesn't want to really support it although their tech support will talk to you and refer you back the the place you bought it. In my case I got it off Amazon, so you can only imagine how that conversation went. In the end Gigabyte said they could RMA it and flash it for me, but really, take apart my computer and send in the motehrboard and wait? My model BTW is a B365M-DS3H-WIFI-Y1. I think the -Y1 means its a reseller version.So I was convinced that the Gigabyte 365M-DS3H-WIFI Rev 1.1 that the F3 firmware was actually right for this motherboard and this was an issues of OEM vs Direct sales and that it was really the same physical MB. Its branded Gigabyte, so shame on them for all the confusion.My process that worked:NOTE: You can completely bork and render your MB useless so use at your own risk! You should backup your BIOS first using the Gigabyte bios tool to do that (eg when you boot into the bios and select the option to update bios, there is an option to back it up).If you try to run efiflash.exe from Windows it will tell you it won't run because its 16 bit, so you need to boot off a USB to run it.Here is my process:
You need USB that can boot into DOS.For that I used Rufus (a boot disk utility) (select Free Dos / MBR / Bios(or UEFI-CSM) / FAT32 / 16KB Cluster SizeThat will make a bootable USB that will boot into DOS
download the new Bios file from Gigabyte for your MB
Copy over efiflash.exe and in my case the Bios file B365MDHW.F3 to the root of the USB stick
Stick a copy of your backed up bios onto this same USB just in case.Note: I attempted to flash it using the efiflash.exe that came with the bios file. And it worked.In all the different iterations I tried, I'm pretty sure I was using the efiflash.exe that came from Gigabyte. There are some versions of efiflash that bypass the checks that you can find here. Reboot off your USB stick.If you are in MBR mode without Secure Boot and UFEI it will boot and you can skip step 6. You will know if you need step 6 because you won't be able to see your USB stick to boot from it. It simply won't appear.
I had to set my bios so it would see the MBR USB Boot stick:From the Main Bios Screen:
BIOS / Secure Boot / Secure Boot = Disable
BIOS / CSM Support = EnabledLegacyLegacy
Note: No need to change TPP (you can leave that on or off)
Once booted on the USB Stick you'll see a DOS Prompt. Run the Bios updater.
C:> efiflash.exe B365MDHW.F3
If it works, then it will immediately start the flash process with a % dialog screen. Once done it reboots a few times, my fans went to 100% and I thought I had blown my bios. Let it settle itself out for a bit, don't mess with it until you see the Bios Screen post on your screen again.
After the update is complete catch the bios boot with <DELETE> key and enter the bios.
Verify that you are on the new version F3 with and new date listed.
If your boot disk is Secure Boot UFEI (needed for Win11), unwind your changes so you can boot from your primary windows disk.
From the Main Bios Screen:

Now if still a problem, go get the F6 BIOS update instead, then if that works, then update to F7. Right now you’re on BIOS update F5.

I have a Mecer machine with a Gigabyte H410M H V3 that I cannot flash. No matter what I do.
I have tried installing via EFI and QFlash. Still cannot update.

As you published your question in Spiceworks General Support forum, I did not get to which version and edition of Spiceworks you refer nor to which of its integrations. Please clarify.
- Which integration of Spiceworks did you try to install for which undisclosed edition of Spiceworks?
- Which component of your Gigabyte device did you try flashing with which image for that purpose?
- What’s the relation to which edition and which version of EFI and of QFlash?
- Why did you not try the installer of your undisclosed software?
I have to assume that you are referring to flashing the BIOS since you don’t specify.
If that is the case, I have to also assume you are attempting to use a flash drive with the BIOS file on the root of the flash drive.
If this is the case, make sure your flash drive is formatted as FAT32 and not NTFS.
Also try different USB ports that are directly on the motherboard, sometimes front panel USB ports won’t work for BIOS flash.
Also try to use a USB 2.0 port if available on that board, some older boards won’t let you flash the BIOS through USB 3.0 or higher.
If all else fails, use a different flash drive.

CPU-Z will identify the motherboard make/model/revision as well as the current bios level.
Again, DO NOT update the bios on speculation; you are asking for trouble.
The main reason for updating a H110 bios is to prepare for installing a 7th gen processor upgrade.

You have likely downloaded an incorrect version of the bios appropriate to your motherboard.
Also, the usb stick needs to be formatted as fat 32.
Past that, I do not advise updating the bios unless the update fixes a problem that is impacting you.
A failed bios update can render your motherboard useless.

If the pc is a prebuilt, go to the support site for the unit and look for driver/bios update files.

I personally believe that "OEM" refers to the manufacturer of the mainboard. If the OEM ID mismatches, it could mean that either the downloaded file is corrupted, the file couldn’t be read properly, or you downloaded the wrong BIOS.
@OP: To rule out you got the wrong BIOS, open up you PC and have a look at what model name is printed on the motherboard itself. It should be written on it in white lettering in the area around the socket.
