Установка и активация Менеджера лицензий

Менеджер лицензий SolidNetWork поддерживает несколько лицензионных клиентов. Он распределяет лицензии для клиентов в сети.

При обновлении предыдущей версии Менеджера лицензий SolidNetWork, использовавшей аппаратные ключи для активации лицензии, удалите аппаратный ключ перед установкой новой версии Менеджера лицензий SolidNetWork.

Using the SOLIDWORKS SolidNetWork License Manager Client

When you install a SOLIDWORKS Network license a SolidNetWork License Manager Client application is also installed allowing users to view available network licenses, change the server location, borrow licenses, or change the license check out order.

Activating the Client Manager

To activate the SolidNetWork License Manager on a Client go to Start > SOLIDWORKS Tools 20XX > SolidNetWork License Manager Client

The Client application will now start with the License Usage tab:

License Usage Tab

The License Usage tab provides information on the number of free and used licenses. A list of users will be provided to determine who is using a specific license.

The ‘Product’ dropdown provides information for each license such as SOLIDWORKS Standard or SOLIDWORKS Visualize Standard.

NOTE: A SOLIDWORKS Standard license is required before using a Professional or Premium license. For example, if you have 2 Standard, 2 Professional, and 2 Premium licenses, you will see a total of 6 Standard licenses. All users initially obtain a Standard license until a Pro or Premium add-in is selected.

Server List Tab

The Server List tab lists all servers that the client is searching on the network for SOLIDWORKS licenses. You can add/remove servers from the list. If the SolidNetWork License Manager is moved to a new server, each Client’s License Manager must have the Server List updated with the new server name.

IMPORTANT: Log in as the Local Administrator on the machine if the server needs changing

License Borrowing Tab

The License Borrowing tab allows a user to temporarily lock a license to the local computer so SOLIDWORKS can be used when not connected to the network. For more information about the borrowing functionality, please refer to our SOLIDWORKS License Borrowing article.

SolidNetWork Client License Borrowing

The list of products that have an available license will be shown in the list. Select the one required and specify the last day you will need the license. Licenses are limited to a 30-day maximum borrow period. This maximum period can be shortened using an Options file.

SOLIDWORKS will be available for use through to 11:59pm on the day specified. At midnight of the following day, the license will expire on the client laptop and the license will be freed up on the server. The license will need to be borrowed again after 30 days.

Once you have selected a product and the Borrow until date, then click Borrow. This will move the license under the Borrowed Product Licenses window. A Standard License will automatically be borrowed with any higher level license.

The License Order tab allows you to modify which level of license to obtain when enabling additional add-ins. This is common in scenarios with multiple Simulation licenses. Read our related article to learn more.

Installing & Activating SolidNetwork License Manager

SolidNetwork License Manager must be installed and activated before client machines can open SOLIDWORKS and obtain the licenses. The License Manager can be installed on a standalone server connected to the network, or on a client machine running SolidWorks. If installing on a standalone server, only the License manager needs to be installed, i.e, it is not needed to install the entire SolidWorks application.

Here are the following steps:

Ensure login as user with ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS

If there are no administrator rights, please contact your MIS/IT department for login as a local user with administrator rights.

Please note that if you are using an anti-virus, it is possible that it may block the installation of the SolidWorks software or Windows components. Hence, one may need to turn anti-virus off during install and reboot of the system.

Ensure Windows firewall is disabled
Consult your MIS/IT department on disabling the firewall

Make sure no clients PC borrow out license from the current SolidWorks License Server, all clients which using SolidWorks please close SolidWorks and no license is being used during this upgrade process

Locate the SolidWorks installation file (from the installation disc/USB/Downloads from customer portal)

Run Setup.exe
Select “Server Products” and “install SolidNetwork License Manager” and click “Next”
Enter the SolidWorks Network Serial Numbers.
If there is multiple serial numbers, one can separate by adding commas(,)
If required, Click “Change” to modify the default installation location
Click “I accept the terms of the SOLIDWORKS” and “Install now” to begin installation.
After installation, Launch SolidNetwork License Manager Server from Start menu (Start>All Programs> SolidWork 20XX > SolidWork Tools> SolidNetwork License Manager)
A dialog box should appear “No SolidNetwork License(s) exist, would you like to activate now?” Select “Yes”
One will then need to configure the License Manager based on the network port/firewall configuration. The server computer name is displayed and will be required for the clients to connect to the server.
Note that Default port number is 25734 but it can be modified if the port is already in use.
If a firewall is enabled on the computer, check “A firewall is in use on this server”. This will use port 25735 by default
Both ports 25734 and 25735 would need to be allowed in the firewall for licenses to go through to the client machines.
To activate and obtain the SolidWorks license: Select the product to activate (or click “Select all”, and the activation method. If the computer has an active internet connection, then one can select “Automatically over the internet”. Enter the email address and click “Next” to complete activation.

If there is no internet connection, choose ‘Manually via email’ to save a request file that can be transferred to another computer with internet access (eg. via USB). The file ‘SWActivateRequest’ is to be emailed to activation@solidworks.com. One will receive a

Reply after a few minutes with a file called ‘SWActivateResponse’. Copy this file to the

desktop of the SolidWorks machine, return to the Manual activation and ‘Open’ the

SWActivateResponse file to complete the activation.

16. If activation is successful, it will appear in the Result, then click on “Finish”

При работе с разнообразными программами возникает задача установки и конечно же активации продукта. И с каждым разом процедура активации занимает все больше времени. В этот раз пришлось повозиться с программой SolidWorks 2021 SP 2.0 Premium.

Есть конечно инструкция про обновлению старой версии до новой, но у меня по какой то причине не вышло и я устанавливал на новую систему.

Детальнее по процедуре активации:

1. Качаем установочные файлы , не запускайте установку программы только после выполнения некоторых манипуляций;

2. После чего отключаем интернет, у кого то может сработать и не отключая но тратить время на эксперименты не всегда хочется;

3. Заходим в папку с креком, запускаем » sw2021_network_serials_licensing.reg» и подтверждаем внесение изменений в реестр;

4. Скопируйте папку «SolidWorks_Flexnet_Server» на C:, запустите от имени администратора файл «server_install.bat» и дождитесь появления новой службы «SolidWorks Flexnet Server» будет установлен и запущен.

5. Запустите установку программы SolidWorks 2021 SP 2.0 Premium, под монтировав образ и запустив инсталятор, НЕ устанавливайте сервер лицензий SolidNetwork (SNL)!

При запросе ввода определения сервера лицензий: 25734@localhost

6. После завершения установки замените файлы из папки крека на диске C:, с сохранением вложенности;

7. Запустите SolidSQUADLoaderEnabler.reg и подтвердите добавление информации в реестр Windows;

8. Перегрузите комп;

9. Запустите SolidWorks> Справка> Менеджер лицензий SolidNetWork> Порядок лицензий.

Используйте кнопки «Вверх» и «Вниз», чтобы позиционировать продукты Premium с то же название выше, чем у продуктов Professional и Standard

Нажмите «Применить», чтобы сохранить настройки.

Нажмите «ОК», чтобы закрыть Менеджер лицензий SolidNetWork.
