— I gained three pounds this weekend.
— That’s too bad. You were doing so well with your diet.
That´s a good idea.
That´s too much for me.
Of course I know that.
Would you please stop talking now, it’s annoying.
It´s too much for me.
Heavy rains and stormy conditions throughout the summer have led to severe shortages in strawberries and other soft fruits. This has led to price rises in many supermarkets and shops.

In all 3 questions, all choices are correct, but in the first, ‘that’ sounds better in both parts. In the second, ‘I didn’t ask for it’ sounds better. In the third, both ‘it’ and ‘that’ sound good.
1. I’m told you called me a fool. — It isn’t true. I didn’t say that ( I didn’t say anything like that )
2. I’ve bought you a new jacket. — Why? I didn’t ask for it.
3. I never told anyone about it-that. But now I want you to know the truth.
For both, it would sound more natural to say «I never thought that» or «I never thought so.»
All that’s left for me to do is to clean the floor.
Now I just have to clean the floor.
Tnahks for asking!
For the keys, I would say «Tom, do you have the key» or «Tom, have you got the key?»

«He wants to come // to go with us. — both are correct. the differences are very small.
He can’t come // go with you — He can’t go with you sounds better.
I don’t want to go with him. — this sounds better than ‘I don’t want to come with him.’
You shouldn’t go//come with him. -You shouldn’t go with him sounds better.
The differences are difficult to explain. ‘to come’ usually means that someone is somewhere else and will arrive at a specific location where the speaker is or where the speaker will be.
If you want to tell someone to meet you at your apartment, you would tell them to ‘come over tonight’ or ‘come here tonight.’ You wouldn’t tell them to ‘go here tonight.’ If you will be at a store this evening and you want to see your friends there, you could say ‘I’ll be shopping, come to the store and we will talk.’
‘to go’ means the destination is somewhere else. If I am talking to my wife and want her to get supper, I could say ‘can you go get dinner,’ which means she needs to go somewhere else, but I wouldn’t say ‘can you come get dinner.’ If I say ‘can you come get dinner,’ it means she is somewhere else and I want her to come to where I am and get dinner. (dinner usually means supper or can also mean the biggest meal of the day).
If I will attend a concert next week, I would say that I’m going to a concert.
So ‘to come’ means someone is somewhere else and they will come to where you are. ‘to go’ means the destination is somewhere else.
Many native speakers confuse ‘to come’ and ‘to go.’ Similarly, many confuse ‘to bring’ and ‘to take.’ «
